 Campaign Bay Area, PPC Laney College, Peralta Federation of Teachers, and 
 Bay Resistance\n\nWe are excited to invite our labor, faith, students, and 
 community networks to a special two-day event focused on building power 
 within the Bay Area region, expanding our Direct Action Network, and 
 preparing for the upcoming elections.\n\nHosted in collaboration with Bay 
 Area PPC, Peralta Federation of Teachers, and Bay Resistance, these events 
 will help us learn about current threats to democracy and the role of labor 
 unions, students, and the community in fighting back against

 screening of the 81-minute film When ICE Melts. The evening will focus on 
 building MN 15 defense committees/chapters for the Bay Area and will 
 feature:\n\nA live call-in from a MN 15 defense member.\n\nA discussion 
 with the filmmaker and defense committee members about ongoing 
 power-building efforts.\n\nA tabling event with our partner groups to help 
 you get involved.\n\n\nDAY 2: Election Defense Training & Voter 
 Education\n\nWhen: Friday, October 30 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM\n\nWhere: The

 Updates on MN 15 and Bay Resistance’s strategy regarding ICE and the 
 elections.\n\nPanel Speakers: History of the radical legacy of MLK Jr. and 
 the critical need for direct action.\n\nVoter Education: A guide to the 
 upcoming ballot featuring:\n\nInformation on Proposition 3 (The California 
 Children’s Education and Health Care Protection Act) and its ongoing 
 funding for public schools and health care.\n\nDiscussions on Prop 40, Prop 
 41, and Prop 42\n\nAction Training: A 1.5-hour Election Defense Training
