\n\n A Special Wildlife Moment at the Pond 💚(last workday, May 23rd,
2026 10am)\n\n\nThank you again to all of our wonderful volunteers and
supporters who continue to help care for the pond habitat. During this
morning’s cleanup, we experienced a very special reminder of why this
work matters — we discovered two tiny fawns quietly bedded down near the
pond while their mother stayed nearby in the surrounding habitat.
💚\n\nWe adjusted our work area and continued cleanup quietly on the
opposite side of the pond so the deer could remain undisturbed. It was a
beautiful example of the pond functioning as important wildlife habitat and
a reminder that many animals are actively raising young this time of
year.\n\nWe truly appreciate the care, respect, and stewardship this
community consistently brings to the project. Your efforts removing
invasives, improving habitat, and protecting the pond are making a real
difference.\n\nAs always, we welcome volunteers on the 4th Saturday of each
month from 10:00 AM to noon. Whether you can stay the whole time or just
stop by for a bit, we’d love to see you there.\n\nThank you all for
helping create a peaceful refuge for wildlife and for our community.
