 Palestinians from their homeland in 1948. Between 1947-1949, between 
 750,000 and 1 million Palestinians—approximately 4 of out every 5 
 Palestinians—became refugees as they were expelled from their homes by 
 Israel or fled in fear for their lives as Israel committed 
 massacres.\n\nDuring the Nakba, Israel destroyed hundreds of Palestinian 
 villages, stole Palestinian land, and refused to allow refugees to return 
 home despite them having the right to do so under international 
 law.\n\nNow, 78 years later, the Nakba is still ongoing as Israel continues 
 to inflict genocide on Palestinians in Gaza, drive Palestinians off their 
 land in the West Bank, and engages in ethnic cleansing in Lebanon.\n
