 Legal Service Workers–United Auto Workers Local 2320, Legal Assistance to 
 the Elderly Unit (LAE-SFU), representing legal services workers, have voted 
 to hold a one-day work stoppage on October 24, 2025. The strike will 
 protest the Trump Administration’s attacks on immigrants and 
 affirmatively demand an end to deportations, the abolition of ICE, and 
 Papers for All–an unconditional amnesty for all undocumented immigrants 
 in the U.S. These union members will picket Immigration and Customs 
 Enforcement (ICE) facilities in the San Francisco Bay Area, aiming to 
 suspend ICE operations and to invite other labor organizations to join this 
 action.\n\nThis union, grassroots organizations and community members 
 organized in the Bay Area General Strike Committee demand an immediate end 
 to the harassment, detention, incarceration, and deportation of immigrants. 
 They call for ICE out of the court houses, for the abolition of ICE and for 
 full rights for immigrants in the United States, including unconditional 
 amnesty and political equality.\n\nThey also call the mayor of Chicago 
 Brandon Johnson to endorse this action, and if possible, fly to San 
 Francisco to join the action at 630 Sansome Street to spur the national 
 movement for a General Strike until the violence against our cities,
