 that our opposition (those who oppose a ceasefire in Gaza) will be arriving 
 at the council meeting at 4PM tomorrow to stack the line with violent 
 zionist perspective. The public comment period can be limited by the Mayor, 
 so it’s crucial that we’re in line for public comment as early as 
 possible to ensure pro-ceasefire voices get a chance to speak. These are 
 the updated times for tomorrow:\n\nWhat: Santa Cruz City Council 
 Meeting\nDate: TOMORROW Tuesday, January 9th\nLine up for public comment: 
 3:45 PM SHARP\nMeeting starts: 5 PM\nLocation: 809 Center St or Zoom (link 
 in bio)\n\nResource and Poster Making event is CANCELLED.\n\nRemember, this 
 is our only chance to pass a ceasefire resolution in Santa Cruz.\n\nHere is 
 our call that we invite you to join us in: we’re calling on the City 
 Council to pass the ceasefire resolution on the 1/9 agenda and reject 
 amendments (changes to the resolution) that set out to:\n\n1) remove the 
 word “ceasefire”\n2) condition humanitarian aid and\n3) denounce the 
 violence by Hamas without denouncing 75 years of continued violence and 
 occupation by Israel.\n\nWe support this ceasefire resolution because it 
 includes the demands we advocated for:\n\n1) Calls for a permanent, 
 sustainable, and immediate ceasefire.\n2) Urges the release of all 
 hostages.\n3) Immediate entry of humanitarian assistance to civilians in 
 Gaza.\n4) The restoration of food, water, electricity, medical 
 supplies.\n5) The respect for international humanitarian law.\n\nAnd if you 
 haven’t yet, please send an email to the Santa Cruz City Council showing 
 your support for this ceasefire resolution without harmful
