 constant threats to the freedom to vote, secret money corruption in 
 politics, and more.\n\nWe know in order to confront these challenges, we 
 must realize the promise of American democracy—one where all voices are 
 heard and where the public interest, not special interests, guide 
 decision-making.\n\nThe Declaration for American Democracy coalition is 
 very excited to partner with \nThe Global Center for Climate Justice on a 
 town hall event May 9th at 4 PM PT / 7 PM ET \non the intersection of 
 climate justice, corporate influence in our elections, and voting 
 rights.\n\nThe hour long conversation will feature insights from David 
 Armiak, Danny Faber, and Brionte McCorkle. The panel will focus on 
 connecting these two issues, outlining the areas where voting rights and 
 climate activists have common cause, expanding attendees' understanding of 
 money in politics, and discussing what we can do as a movement to 
 strengthen our democracy so we can achieve climate justice.\n
