DESCRIPTION:Current Challenges to Voting Rights & the Role of the League of Women
 Voters \n\nDate and time: Fri, June 3, 2022 @ 10:30 AM – 11:45 PM
 PDT\n\nMore info:
 https://www.csus.edu/college/social-sciences-interdisciplinary-studies/renaissance-society/seminars.html#our-free-summer-program\n\n\nLeague
of Women Voters leaders, Carol Moon Goldberg and Trisha Uhrhammer, will
address the role of the LWV encouraging an active and informed citizenry,
and will specifically discuss the current challenges to voting rights
across the United States. \n\nCalifornia enjoys some of the most
comprehensive voter rights laws in the country, but many states are
limiting citizens’ access and ability to vote, affecting tens of
thousands of voters. \n\nJoin us as Trisha and Carol explore the current
erosion of the fundamental constitutional right of voting, through both
voter suppression and election subversion. Bring your questions for the
Q&A!\n\nImmediately following the presentation, folks will meet at Del
Norte Hall to participate in a brown bag lunch in a shady spot on campus.
If you would like to learn more about the campus, meet at 12:30 in front of
Del Norte Hall for a self-guided campus tour. \n\n\nSPEAKERS:\n\nTrisha
Uhrhamme\n\nTrisha Uhrhammer has served LWV Sacramento as President and in
various leadership roles for over 35 years. An educator, she taught
History, Government and Economics for over 25 years and still offers
occasional lectures in Renaissance Society classes.\n\nCarol Moon Goldberg
\n\nCarol Moon Goldberg is a president of the League of Women Voters of
California (LWVC) and its related Education Fund. A 25-year League member,
she is from Sacramento. She has served on the Board of Directors for the
last 8 years, working on voter service projects for 4 of those. She was an
