 article.\n\nSection 3: This amendment shall take effect two years after the

 \n\nTAKE ACTION\n\nCongress passed the ERA in 1972.  Then in 2020, Virginia 
 became the final 38th state needed to ratify the Equal Rights 
 Amendment\n\nHowever, while the Constitution doesn't put any time limit on 
 states ratifying an amendment — the 27th Amendment took more than 200 
 years to become a reality — Congress put a time limit on ratification of 
 the Equal Rights Amendment in the preamble to this amendment which
