 Equal Rights Amendment - Virginia - we're rallying in Washington, D.C. on 
 January 27th for a more just future for ALL! \n\nJanuary 27, 2022 is the 
 date the Equal Rights Amendment should be taking effect across the country, 
 the date it's suppose to be added to the Constitution.\n\nWhile the 
 Constitution doesn't put any time limit on states ratifying an amendment 
 — the 27th Amendment took more than 200 years to become a reality — 
 Congress put a time limit on ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment in 
 the preamble to this amendment which supposedly timed out in 1982.\n\nBut 
 how can human rights of equality ever expire? We're rallying to speak out: 
 There's no time limit on equal rights!\n\nJoin Gloria Steinem, Alyssa 
 Milano, and all supporters of equality in refusing to shut up until the 
 Equal Rights Amendment is no longer held

 Equal Rights Amendment States:\n\n“Section 1: Equality of rights under 
 the law shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any 
 state on account of sex.\n\nSection 2: The Congress shall have the power to 
 enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this 
 article.\n\nSection 3: This amendment shall take effect two years after the

 Coalition, Advocates for Women’s Equality File Amicus Brief in Case to 
 Force Recognition of Equal Rights Amendment\n\n\nOn January 10, 2022, the 
 ERA Coalition and advocates from 52 organizations filed an amicus brief in 
 the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit in the case 
 filed by the Attorneys General of the last three states to ratify the Equal 
 Rights Amendment –– Nevada, Illinois, and Virginia –– to force U.S. 
 Archivist David S. Ferriero to publish the ERA to the U.S. 
 Constitution.\n\nThe Court previously dismissed the case for supposed lack
