DESCRIPTION:Learn how to practice the healing arts of Buddhist psychology during this
time of social, racial, and political fractures.\n\nDate and Time:
 Saturday, February 22, 2020 @ 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM \n\nLocation: SF Zen
Center Conference Center, 308 Page Street, San Francisco, CA 94102\n\nJoin
us for a public talk with Dr. Pilar Jennings, NYC based psychoanalyst and
Buddhist teacher, as she explores how to practice the healing arts of
Buddhist psychology during a time of social, racial, and political
fractures. Together we will reflect on the enormous challenge facing us to
remain curious about those whose beliefs and actions conflict with our own.
What does it mean to be compassionate in the face of values and beliefs
that cause suffering? This is one of many questions we will tackle
together.\n\nDr. Pilar Jennings is a psychoanalyst in private practice in
NYC and a core faculty member of the Contemplative Psychotherapy Program
offered by the Nalanda Institute for Contemplative Science. A visiting
lecturer at Union Theological Seminary and a guest lecturer at Columbia
University, she is the author of "Mixing Minds: The Power of Relationship
in Psychoanalysts and Buddhism" and "To Heal a Wounded Heart: The
Transformative Power of Buddhism and Psychotherapy in Action".\n
