 the severity of the housing shortage. We want people to be fed today, and 
 housed tomorrow.\n\nIn the past three years, the number of people living in 
 their cars in San Mateo County has almost doubled. We have thousands of 
 residents who sleep on the sidewalks, in their backseats, or in parks in 
 order to stay alive. Meanwhile, Caltrain has postponed an Affordable 
 Housing Policy that would prioritize affordable housing on the land they 
 lease or sell.\n\nWe know the long-term solutions. Street Life Ministries, 
 a Redwood City-based church, provides hot meals for people who have to
