 on sentenses and torture against workers and labor activists in Iran issued 
 by the Islamic Republic of Iran’s judiciary.\n\nThere have been major 
 strikes including the Haft Tapeh Sugarcane Workers’ Syndicate strike in 
 which two strike supporters, Esmail Bakhshi and Sepideh Gholian were 
 arrested on November 18, 2018 and released on bail in December 2018. They 
 were rear- rested on January 20, 2019 when they reported that the police 
 had tortured them to make false confes- sions.\n\nAdditionally the Tehran 
 Bus Workers’ Syndicate union activists Reza Shahabi and Hassan Saeidi 
 have also been arrested and subjected to repressive actions for supporting 
 their strike action. These workers have been fighting privatization and 
 cor- ruption. In some cases, workers have not been paid for more than 6 
 months.\n\nHaft Tapeh Sugarcane Workers’ Syndicate, Iranian Teachers’ 
 Trade association, Ahvaz steel workers and many other workers have been 
 struggling for labor and human rights.\n\nThe struggle of Iranian workers 
 is an issue for all workers including in the United States. We stand with 
 our brothers and sisters in solidarity and de- mand that the government 
 release the jailed trade unionists NOW!\n\nWe oppose the capitalist war on 
 workers in the US and Iran and must build joint solidarity links and
