our youth-led action for our education, and for our futures. Our education
system here in California has been left in the dust for far too long.
Teachers and students are bearing the brunt of the consequences. With the
5th largest economy in the World but one of the worst states in the U.S for
per pupil spending - we need to stop spending more on prisoners than we do
on students. \n\nClimate Justice and education are the two foremost issues
affecting the next generation, and it’s time we took more action to
address the latter. With teachers whom are barely floating above the
poverty line, with undergrads whom are being crushed under the weight of
their student debts, and with high school students being dumped with
millions and millions in budget cuts, education reform is now, more than
ever, a necessity. And that’s why we are coming out to March for
Education on November 9th.\n\nThe November 9th March for Education is
completely student-led, student-run, and student organized. Students are
finally getting involved and taking back their education: let’s go out
and support them. Students want a brighter future, and a better, more equal
and fair education system. Education is important, and youth voices in
education are even more important.\n\nWe’ve already marched for science,
for gun violence, for gender equality, and for climate. \nLet’s finally
 march for Education!\n\nABOUT: GEN-Up\n\nGEN-Up is a student-led social
justice organization and student-activist coalition that strives to
advocate for education through the power of youth voices!\n\nBorne at the
wake of many teacher strikes and educational funding disputes, GenUp is for
the students by the students. From its bottom to top, youth run all aspects
of GenUp. GenUp strives to be a long term agent and champion of educational
advocacy and change.\n\nThrough community and grassroots organizing
engagement of youth, we seek to consistently fight for student
representation and youth perspectives on all facets of education
advocacy.\nGenUp seeks to fight for an education system that prioritizes
students and educators first: an education system where all students have
equal access to resources, a system where educators have a fair, living
wage, and an education system that allows its students and teachers to
thrive within their communities.\n\nORGANIZING PARTNERS\n\nWomen's March
