DESCRIPTION:The Occupy Oakland General Assembly meets every Sunday at 4 PM at Oscar 
 Grant Plaza amphitheater at 14th Street & Broadway near the steps of City 
 Hall.  (We meet at 3:00 PM during the cooler months from November to early 
 March during Daylights Savings Time.)\n\nOn every ‘last Sunday’ we meet 
 a little earlier at 3 PM to have a community potluck to which all are 
 welcome.\n\nThe OO General Assembly has met on a continuous basis for eight 
 years, since October 2011!  On October 10th, 2011, Oscar Grant Plaza was 
 Occupied, the beginning of the story of Occupy Oakland, its confrontations, 
 victories and defeats, and the ongoing work of its spinoffs.\n\nOur General 
 Assembly is a participatory gathering of Oakland community members and 
 beyond, where everyone who shows up is treated equally.  \n\nWe discuss 
 activist events of the past week, note coming events and engage in debate 
 about what is happening locally, nationally and around the globe.\n\nCome, 
 sit and chat, and recall when tents spanned OGP and a community sprang up 
 to help one another.\n
