DESCRIPTION:Green Friday meets on the second Friday of the month in the Sierra Club's
 Bay Chapter office, 2530 San Pablo Ave. Berkeley.  Doors open at 7:00 p.m.;
 the program runs from 7:30 to 9:00 including questions and discussion.
 Refreshments are served. A $3 donation is requested. Our programs present
 speakers and topics discussing the most important environmental issues of
 our time. All are welcome, Sierra Club members as well as nonmembers. \n
 \nOn October 11, 2019 Join volunteers from the local chapter of Citizens
 Climate Lobby ---a non-profit, nonpartisan, grassroots advocacy
 organization focused on national policies to address climate change ---to
 learn more about the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act (H.R.763).
 If passed, the EICDA would reduce U.S. carbon emissions by 40% in just 12
 years, while growing the economy and improving the health and lives of
 millions of Americans. \n\nCome find out how a carbon fee and dividend
 would work, why it is co-sponsored by many Bay Area representatives, how it
 would benefit American families, how it would grow the green economy, and
 more.\n\n https://www.indybay.org/newsitems/2019/10/06/18827107.php
