DESCRIPTION:Join Creative Growth artists, international guest artists, and the Oakland 
 community for our annual Collage Party. Organized by artist and curator 
 Paul Butler, The Collage Party is a participatory studio where everyone is 
 invited to cut, paste, and create. The week of collage culminates in a 
 celebration and exhibition of the week’s creations, 1–6pm on Saturday, 
 September 14, while collage making continues. We are thrilled to bring this 
 popular and historic event back to our space for the fourth time.\n\nThe 
 Collage Party is free and open to everyone to participate. Stop by the 
 Creative Growth Gallery any time Wednesday, September 11, through Friday, 
 September 13, 10am–3pm, to join in the collage making. Live music and DJ 
 sets will be on throughout the week to inspire music-themed collage on 
 album covers. When the week of collective art making comes to a close, Paul 
 Butler will install a one-day-only exhibition of selected work made during 
 the week. All proceeds from the event’s art sales will go to support 
 Creative Growth and the 150+ artists who call the studio home.\n\nCollage
