DESCRIPTION:Dear Concerned Oakland Citizens,\nWednesday, June 19th at 6:00 pm at the 
 Planning Commission meeting will be one of our last chances to voice our 
 input about the design standard guidelines for Small Wireless Facilities 
 (SWF) in the Public Right of Way (PROW).\nThere will be NO public 
 notification, discretionary approval (Planning Commission) or appeal rights 
 on many of the telecom applications we have seen come before the Planning 
 Commission over the last year once these guidelines are in place. "Finally, 
 the order essentially requires the City to grant SWF within the PROW unless 
 the facilities fail to meet pre-existing, objective, design standards."\nWe 
 need you at the Planning Commission to have our voices be heard. We will 
 have prepared speeches for you to say at the Director's Report agenda item 
 time to cover all the points we wish to make into the making of these final 
 guidelines. We are still working on finalizing all of the points, and will 
 then break them up into 2 minute segments.\nWe now have a strong 
 understanding of the goal at hand especially with the Director's Report 
 that was put out just recently about these guidelines. It also contained a 
 purpose and background statement which was very helpful to us in focusing 
 our

 understanding of the permitting process and the Planning Commission's role.
