DESCRIPTION:Thirty Years of Slingshot, A Poster Retrospective. Centerfold posters from 
 the archive of fifteen Slingshot newspapers are on display starting May 1, 
 at the independently owned and operated Berkeley Stamp and Engraving. Our 
 reception is open to the public and will take place on Saturday, May 11 
 from 5:30-8:30PM. Come for the food, stay to take in the show!\n\nSlingshot 
 is a quarterly, independent, radical, newspaper published in the East Bay 
 since 1988 by the Slingshot Collective. We also publish the annual 
 Slingshot Organizer radical calendar planner. We are an all volunteer, 
 non-profit, tax exempt project of the Long Haul.\n\nThe "Slingshot 
 Retrospective" is an arena to take in the full picture of Slingshot's 
 history. Members of the collective have selected fifteen various centerfold 
 posters from the past thirty years to put on display. These works of art 
 and articles cover a wide range of topics, from ecology and climate change 
 to anti-capitalism and workers' rights. The exhibit is hosted by Berkeley 
 Stamp and Engraving, a historic business in the city of Berkeley since 
 1929.\n\nComing next month: \nPolitical posters from the archives, and 
 in-depth research by the Slingshot
