DESCRIPTION:THE TIME HAS COME.\n\nDear Fellow Bay Area Resisters:\n\nOur president has 
 no regard for the law or democracy of this land. The recent offer to pardon 
 Border Patrol agents for breaking national law clearly demonstrates that he 
 believes he's the only one in charge, a dictator. The Treasury's fight to 
 hand over the president's taxes is a smack in the face to the sacred checks 
 and balances. The AG's soft report and stall on releasing the full findings 
 of the Special Counsel's office reeks of cover-up and obstruction. The 
 president's refusal to fully staff his cabinet creates a top heavy 
 administration with very little public accountability.\n\nWe declare that 
 each of these oversteps are in themselves dangerous to our democracy, but 
 taken together, they reveal a clear movement toward authoritarianism and we 
 will vigorously demonstrate against that reach while calling for full 
 restoration of our government as our forefathers intended.\n\nWe call upon 
 the third most powerful office holder in our nation to begin impeachment 
 proceedings against President Trump for his blatant treasonous actions and 
 words, for his utter disregard of checks an balances, for his contempt for 
 the rule of law. This is not a person who represents democracy and 
 equality, this is a person who is gutting all that is good and right within 
 our society for selfish gains and he should be stopped. Now.\n\nJoin us as 
 we PEACEFULLY petition Speaker Pelosi's office to begin impeachment 
 proceedings. Out of many voices, we shall be one, demanding justice for our 
 nation.\n\nWe will go up to Pelosi’s office at approx. 5:15 PM to present 
 her rep. with a letter urging her to initiate impeachment proceedings 
 against Trump, then return to the sidewalk for more protesting.  Please 
 bring signs & banners. Who knows, there might even be tacos & music 
 (we’re working on it).  Please arrive early to allow for traffic (it is a 
 weekday) & parking (there are several parking lots/garages within a few 
 blocks of her office).\n\nAnd thank you for your support.\n
