 Festival, Taxi was made illegally by Jafar Panahi.  Banned from making 
 films by the Islamic regime, Jafar Panahi plays a taxi driver, picking up a 
 variety of passengers and conversing with them about their lives, art, 
 politics, and religion as he drives them through the streets of Tehran, the 
 interior of his taxi mounted with three cameras.\n\nPanahi has repeatedly 
 defied authorities, continuing to make movies critical of the 
 regime.\n\nOne of Taxi's actors is the human rights lawyer, Nasrin 
 Sotoudeh, who, in real life, has just been convicted and sentenced to 
 prison, in part for her defense of women who have protested the mandatory
