DESCRIPTION:Hey y'all! \n\nFrankie Foukette (formerly known as Angsty Andy), along with 
 various talented and beloved artists such as Mavis Moon Dancer, Miss Gatita 
 Negra, Kleos Captured, Madame Bessie Snow, Freya La Tigra, Montease Python, 
 Jos Harbinger, Hillary of Oakland Secret, and all our community supporters 
 (you), have a piece of this show. \nThis show is for us, as we come, in all 
 of our variety and peculiarities! In our weakness and sorrow, and in our 
 flamboyant divinity and posh austerity...we come here to lounge lavishly, 
 but not per se passively. \n\nTHE LINGERIE LOUNGE is a home for your most 
 wacky ideas, political rage and passion, glitz and glam, queer obscure 
 facts, awkward diary cuntfessions, musical whirling whims and hymns, and 
 whatever else you're set to manifest on stage with a supportive crowd of 
 fellow artists. \n\nWe like to make it real intimate here. We like to 
 indulge in expression. We like to share ourselves. We like to 
 wear...lingerie. ALAS! HOLD FAST MY FRIENDS! Lingerie is an inclusive word 
 with the simple definition, an expression of yourself. We highly encourage 
 bedroom attire, along with whatever else makes you feel ravishing, and 
 understand that this may not always be possible. Your attendance and 
 ability to be here is paramount, so if that means foregoing the lingerie 
 theme - all is well! \nAll are welcome! (Except if you're 17 or younger, 
 sorry y'all! Keep being the badass youth you are!)\n\n\nHOW IT 
 WORKS...\nThis is an open mic! Yes, we have Special AWESOME Guests (TO BE 
 ANNOUNCED), but YOU are the show! \n\nActs should be no longer than 10 
 minutes including set-up and take-down. For this event, we have 11 sign-ups 
 available.\n\nYou can sign up online

 arrival. First come, first serve. \n\nIMPORTANT: If your act has extensive 
 set up and clean up, please sign up ONLINE. We want to do our best to make 
 sure your piece runs as smoothly as possible. :)\n\n\nWHAT WE ARE LOOKING 
 FOR...\nMusicians (we have a piano!), singer/songwriters, DIY-sters, 
 educators, dancers, singers, comedians, poets (of all kinds), rappers, drum 
 line players, strippers, burlesquers, shibari enthusiasts, storytellers, 
 writers, clowns, contortionists, sideshow specialists, drag performers, 
 gender-fuckers, activists, jugglers, dad-jokesters, dramatic pie eaters, 
 public speakers, and all creative deviants. \n\nWe value your voice, time, 
 presence, and courage to share what you're passionate about with the 
 community. We want to bring in the plethora of creative energies and dare 
 ourselves to think even more outside the box. We encourage acts that may 
 not fit the dominant art scenes and respect those that work to educate 
 and/or validate our vulnerable and resilient experiences as humans. \n\nWe 
 ask that folks come in with an open mind and heart. Supportive audience 
 members and stage participants are our favorite. Support can look like a 
 tip, compliment, validation, shout out, collab offer, consensual feedback, 
 and many other actions!\n\nConsent culture is paramount!\nSome of us may 
 have our wobbly bits out while others may not. Whatever dress (or non) you 
 show up in, we do not tolerate the idea that clothing or lack thereof is an 
 invitation to touch people in anyway, ever, at the Lingerie Lounge. Consent 
 culture exceeds simple body-boundaries. It also encompasses our emotional, 
 spiritual, and mental well-being. Always ask before offering feedback or 
 telling someone about an awesome idea you had for them to manifest. Being 
 vulnerable on a stage isn't easy for everyone, and we are motivated to 
 communicate with one another in a way that feels mutual, supportive, and 
 genuine. \n\n*If anyone is making you feel uncomfortable at any time,

 :)\n\n\nTHE IMPORTANT STUFFING (tldr):\nLOCATION - OAKLAND SECRET, 577 5th 
 St. Oakland (wheelchair accessible)\nTHE DATE - THURSDAY, FEB 21ST \nDOORS 
 @ 7PM\nSHOW @ 8PM (we're hoping to end the show somewhere between 
 10pm-11pm)\n$5-25 sliding NO ONE TURNED AWAY FOR LACK OF FUNDS\n*50% of 
 profits go to St. James Infirmary, a rad and incredibly vital health 
 organization for SWs. (Thank you for all the work you do!)\n\n**Absolutely 
 NO PHOTOGRAPHY. We will have an area where you can take pictures, once you 
 enter the Lounge, phones become mere globs of gook that are only used for 
 emergencies.\n\n**NO TERFS/NO SWERFS. Sorry, not sorry. We are a group that 
 is extremely queer, diverse, and welcoming, and we will not tolerate 
 oppressive behaviors in our brave space. \n\n***Frankie Foukette is working 
 on getting volunteer counselors (and will confirm this ASAP) to assist 
 anyone who has an unanticipated experience at the Lingerie Lounge. Your 
 safety and emotional well-being is incredibly important to us. We want you 
 to feel supported and well-resourced if anything overwhelming comes up. We 
 are here for you. ♥ \n\n****TIPPING IS ENCOURAGED! While tipping has a 
 colonial past, we acknowledge the capitalist caste system (as coined by 
 writer, Kendriana Speaks) that we live in...and we also really enjoy 
 showering our loved ones in money. Please bring ones to throw at performers 
 you adore! If you are low on cash and still want to support the performers, 
 you CAN do so! We will have strips of paper with pre-made compliments as 
 well as blank ones you can make (however they need to be approved by our 
 compliment connoisseur). Words can be just as motivating and affirming as a 
 dollar bill, y'all. It may not pay the bills, but hopefully it'll offer the 
 chance for us to smile and feel confident in our hard work as artists!
