DESCRIPTION:At present, in your binary frame in which capital and labor are at odds,
high rent is perceived as a negative. It divides society, accentuates the
ideological fractiousness twixt Red-blooded Republicans and Blue-blooded
democrats, and makes living in San Francisco and California a challenge at
least, and a torment for many.\n\nBut what if Rent, by which is meant,
precisely, the value of "location, location, location" were recognized and
treated as a commonwealth? What if all land values were collected by
society to pay for public education, streets, museums, courts, health care,
etc.? In that case, high Rent would mean a boon for society. It would mean
that when you paid your rent, you were paying your tax! It would mean that
the private landlord wouldn't get wealthy on account of owning land, but
only from supplying housing. It would mean that Donald Trump would go broke
because he would no longer keep the "location, location, location" rents he
currently does keep!\n\nCome along on a walking tour that opens up this
"land is the peoples'" way of looking at the economy and society, a
perspective that uncovers that the economy is not binary (Capital vs
Labor), but trinitarian (Private land value ownership vs Capital and
Labor).\n\nLoads of San Francisco social movement stories are featured in
illustrating this threesome way of experiencing Prop 10, the rent is too
 high, and social justice.\n\nwww.LeonPhat.com\n
