 vote (GOTV) efforts, discuss our strategy in the last few weeks of the 
 election, and get members committed to making the difference in the home 
 stretch!\n\nProp 10 is a ballot initiative that, if passed, will give us 
 the power to adopt rent control necessary to address the state's housing 
 affordability crisis by repealing the Costa-Hawkins Rental Housing Act, 
 which upholds landlord interests, and — in tandem with the housing crisis 
 — has deeply exacerbated social disparities, displaced longtime 
 communities, driven homelessness, and dealt a blow to working-class power 
 by making housing ever more insecure and inaccessible.\n\nJovanka Beckles 
 is a proud democratic socialist and a two-term Richmond City Council member 
 backed by the Richmond Progressive Alliance, a grassroots coalition that 
 doesn't accept any corporate money. Jovanka Beckles and the RPA have won 
 countless victories for the city's working class, including a $15 minimum 
 wage and more than $115 million in new taxes on Chevron and their oil 
 refinery. Now, we want to send Jovanka Beckles to Sacramento to fight for 
 policies like universal rent control and publicly-funded social housing, a 
 Medicare-for-All system in California, and free public education from 
 preschool to college. She is also a big proponent of Proposition 10. We're 
 fighting alongside Jovanka Beckles and half a million renters across the 
 state to pass Proposition 10 and pave the way for real rent
