DESCRIPTION:In 2015 the world came together in Paris, and progress has been made since.
But with the US withdrawal from that summit’s agreement, what can WE do,
in our daily lives, to help stop global warming?\n\nGovernor Brown is
hosting a “Global Climate Action Summit” in San Francisco from
September 14 to 16, but he has been criticized for not doing enough. Will
this gathering propose serious, workable solutions to the current climate
disaster? \n\nOur August forum will feature three climate change activists:
KATHY SETIAN, Environmental Engineer and retired EPA Superfund Project
Manager; PENNIE OPAL PLANT, a co-founder of Idle No More SF Bay and
signatory to the Indigenous Women of the Americas Defending Mother Earth
Treaty; and JAN KIRSCH, medical doctor, speaker on environmental issues for
Physicians for Social Responsibility, and coordinator of the 350 Bay Area
Speakers’ Bureau. \n\nRepresenting different, but allied fields, these
activists are united in the struggle to save our |planet—and, like most
of us, they are deeply concerned that we are not doing nearly enough.
\n\nPLEASE JOIN US to explore possible steps for action and ways to start
 building hope for future generations.\n\n
