DESCRIPTION:'Zoopolis: A Political Theory of Animal Rights' is a book that deals with 
 the many questions that arise when we start to envision animal liberation. 
 \n\n- What should we do about animals that have become completely dependent 
 on humans? \n\n- What should we do about animals that are part of our urban 
 areas but are not domesticated? \n\n- What should we do about animals in 
 the wild?\n\nZoopolis argues that AR theory has spent too much time 
 focusing on negative rights (don't kill, don't confine, don't abuse). 
 Instead, this book explores what positive rights we owe our fellow animals 
 who have been wronged by our society.\n\nThis event will be a short talk by 
 Corey Rowland and Orlando Torres followed by a group discussion. \n\nPS: 
 Not necessary to have read the book, but we highly recommend doing so 
 anyway.\n---\n\nDirect Action Everywhere (DxE) is a grassroots network of 
 animal rights activists. Through open rescue, demonstration, and 
 disruption, we are creating a world where every animal is safe, happy and 
 free.\n\nDxE cultivates a welcoming and supportive community. We ask that

 held at the Berkeley Animal Rights Center located in Suite C at 2425 
 Channing Way. If taking BART, get off at Downtown Berkeley station, walk 
 south on Shattuck Ave (for 5 blocks), make a left on Channing Way, and walk 
 another 5 blocks until you see the big red pillars - you’re here! We 
 strive to offer walking buddies to attendees who feel unsafe walking 
 to/from BART or other short distances in the area - please email us at 
 sfbay@directactioneverywhere.com to request a walking buddy.\n\nPARKING: 
 There is a parking garage at the center (free for the first hour) and 
 metered street parking in the vicinity. Please remove all valuables from 
 your car.\n\nACCESSIBILITY: The Berkeley Animal Rights Center has 
 stair-free access from Channing Way. The front doors of the center open to 
 5ft wide. The bathroom entrance is 34” wide, and there is one accessible 
 stall with horizontal grab bars on the right and back of the toilet. The
