 racist law restricting immigration from China to the U.S. After over a 
 century of merciless racism against Chinese people, suddenly the idea 
 emerged of the Chinese community as the “model minority,” attempting to 
 hide a shameful history of the brutality Chinese immigrants have 
 suffered.\n\nJoin us for analysis and discussion of this important history, 
 and learn about the contributions of Chinese workers and their struggle to
