 “The Long Shadow” to Oakland\nJoin this special one-time screening of a 
 film that explores the origins and legacy of Slavery, White Supremacy and 
 the political role of the South.\n\nThe Long Shadow is a gripping new 
 feature-length documentary on the origins and legacy of slavery. Filmmaker 
 and investigative journalist Frances Causey, a daughter of the South, set 
 out to explore her personal family history of slaveholding. Her 
 investigation traces slavery's history from America's founding up through 
 its insidious ties to racism today. \n\nIndivisible Affiliate Resistance 
 Action East Bay (RAEB) is a local group promoting active citizenship, and 
 is hosting this event. This showing of the film is being co-sponsored by
