DESCRIPTION:Dr. King and the Cloud\nOn March 30, 2018, Good Friday, at 6:45 AM, at the 
 corner of South Vasco Rd. & Patterson Pass Rd. outside the Livermore 
 Nuclear Weapons Lab, Ecumenical Peace Institute and the Livermore 
 Conversion Project offer a service of worship and nonviolent witness 
 calling for an end to U.S. development of nuclear weapons.  \n\nFifty years 
 after the assassination of Dr. King and fifty years after the initiation of 
 the Poor People’s Campaign, we will hear from Rev. Ben McBride, 
 Co-Director at PICO California and a leader in today’s new Poor 
 People’s Campaign.\n\nWe believe Dr. King’s spirit is with us at the 
 Livermore Lab where new nuclear weapons continue to be designed, saying 
 once again, “In a day when . . . guided ballistic missiles are carving 
 highways of death through the stratosphere, no nation can win a war.  Today 
 it is no longer a choice between violence and nonviolence; it is either 
 nonviolence or nonexistence.” \n\nFollowing the procession to the main 
 gate observing Stations of the Cross of Empire, there will be music, 
 liturgical dance and opportunity for nonviolent acts of witness. After the 
 witness there will be a community gathering at a nearby church where light
