 walking tour disguised as a survey of San Francisco social movement history 
 that is, in fact, a short course in why and how to socialize land values 
 while maintaining private property title in land.\n\nOn St. Patrick's Day 
 the walk will put front and central the efforts of Kate Kennedy, 19th 
 century SF school teacher, to teach "restoration of the land to the 
 people." In 1873 she set the legal precedent for equal pay for women. In 
 1886 she was Califoria's first female candidate for public office 
 (Superintendent of Public Education), and in 1890 she established civil 
 service tenure law in California. Meanwhile, she preached land reform
