DESCRIPTION:Proceeds go to the Legal Advocacy Fund. Desserts and beverages will be
served. Books will be available for purchase. Come hear local mystery
writers talk about their recent books and how they write them.\n\nThe
panel:\nMary Feliz (www.maryfeliz.com) writes cozy mysteries published by
featuring Silicon Valley Professional Organizer Maggie McDonald. Maggie's
career gives her access to her clients' darkest secrets. Her penchant for
order drives her to restore justice when crime rends the fabric of her
community. Mary's most recent novel, Dead Storage, focuses on the problems
created when an undocumented teen witnesses a crime. Should he report the
crime and risk deportation or stay mum and let the bad guys run
 amok?\n\nBette Lamb and JJ Lamb (www.twoblacksheep.us) have co-authored a
dozen crime novels, plus a few other individual fiction titles as both
books and short stories. Bette is not only a writer, she's an award-winning
artist as well. She's also an RN and knows her subject well. J.J. has spent
his entire career behind a keyboard as a journalist, freelance writer,
editor and fiction author. He is also a competent jack-of-all-trades when
the occasion demands.\n\nKathryn Bolger Hyde (http://kbhyde.com/) spent her
career as an editor before venturing into writing. Bloodstains with Bronte
is her second traditional mystery in the Crime with the Classics series.
The series was inspired by her annual writing pilgrimage to Rockaway Beach
on the Oregon coast. She lives in Santa Cruz County with her husband and
the youngest of her four children and two obstreperous cats.\n\nMadeline
McEwen (http://madelinemcewen.com) is an ex-pat from the U.K., bi- focaled
and technically challenged. She and her significant other manage their four
offspring, two autistic and two neurotypical plus a time-share with
Alzheimer's. In her free time she walks the canines and chases the felines
with her nose in a book and her fingers on a keyboard.\n\n$15 donation.\n
