DESCRIPTION:WOMEN'S MARCH ON CHICO 2018: MARCH & RALLY in DOWNTOWN CHICO\n\nWHEN:
 SATURDAY JANUARY 20th, 2018\n\n10:00am Pre-March Gathering\n10:30am March
on Chico\n12:00pm Rally with Music, Art, Speakers and Booths until
 3:30pm\n\nWHERE: Chico City Plaza, 132 W 4th St, Chico, CA 95928\n\nOn
January 20, 2018 the Women’s March on Chico will unite again along with
multiple other marches nationally to reaffirm our commitment to building a
positive and just future for all, and to celebrate inspiring resistance
efforts over the last year. \n\nThis rally is a place to engage and empower
all people to support Women’s Rights, Human Rights, Civil Rights,
Indigenous People’s Rights, Women of Color, Disability Rights, Women’s
Healthcare, Immigrant Rights, Interfaith Unity, LGBTQIAA2S+ and Social
Justice and Environmental Justice. Our feminism must be intersectional and
inclusive, and we will continue to organize as such. \n\nTHEY HEARD OUR
VOICE, NOW THEY WILL #HEAROURVOTE\n\nThe March will be one of many
worldwide events honoring the movement that first brought out over 5
million marchers on January 21, 2017, in what is considered the largest
single-day demonstration in U.S. history. Locally we also saw thousands in
the largest march Chico has ever held. We look forward to sharing this
experience again and engaging our community even further. \n\nWe want to
encourage participation in 2018 midterm elections and encourage people to
organize locally, register to vote, vote, women run for office (especially
Women of Color and marginalized people), and elect Progressive Women &
Allies.\nFirst we Marched, and Now we Run!\n\nWe also want to encourage
support of ongoing local grassroots efforts addressing and meeting crucial
needs such as housing, childcare, shelter, food security, community safety,
racial justice, cultural equity, mutual aid, arts and education, honoring
Indigenous People’s relationship to their Land and Water, and for
affordable and compassionate healthcare access for all. \n\nWe will
continue to work towards a more just local network to build, sustain and
grow vibrant communities in unity together.\n\nJoin us at Chico City Plaza
on Saturday January 20th, 2018!\n\nKid friendly
 event\n\n************************************************************\nHEAR
OUR VOICE. \n\nThis is not an anti-movement; this is an opportunity for
people to come together to stand for love, respect, and inclusion. \n\nThis

 volunteerwmchico@gmail\n\n************************************************************\nUNITY
PRINCIPLES\n\nThe Women’s March on Washington convened a broad and
diverse group of leaders to produce an intersectional platform known as the
Unity Principles. Representing a new understanding of the connected nature
of our struggles and a vision of our collective liberation, the Unity
Principles continue to be a guiding light for our movement.\n\nWe believe
that Women’s Rights are Human Rights and Human Rights are Women’s
Rights. We must create a society in which women – including Black women,
Native women, poor women, immigrant women, disabled women, Muslim women,
lesbian queer and trans women – are free and able to care for and nurture
their families, however they are formed, in safe and healthy environments
free from structural impediments.\n\nClick to download full PDF here:
