tribute honoring Amy Errett for her dedicated service and visionary
leadership as Chairperson of GLIDE’s Board of Trustees for 22 years. Amy
has been a major influence in supporting GLIDE’s co-founders, Janice
Mirikitani and Reverend Cecil Williams, its Board and executive staff, and
the fiscal robustness that has helped GLIDE become a major human services
provider and spiritual force in this city.\n \n	In addition to the tribute
to Amy Errett, GLIDE welcomes new Board Chair Kaye Foster, new President
and CEO Karen Hanrahan, and new Lead Pastor Rev. Dr. Jay Williams, who
together will work with our Co-Founders, Executive Director and staff to
take GLIDE into the future, embracing our values of unconditional love,
acceptance, inclusion and social justice. Honorary co-chairs include
Richard C. Blum and Senator Dianne Feinstein, Felicia and Ben Horowitz,
Susan Lowenberg and Joyce Newstat; Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsom and
Jennifer Siebel Newsom; Eva and Bill Price; Jim and Liz Steyer; and Joyce
Stupski.\n\n	Over the past 50 years, Rev. Cecil Williams and Janice
Mirikitani, GLIDE’s Co-founders, have shown first-hand that LOVE triumphs
over violence and division. These are times when it is especially important
to affirm that LOVE overcomes divisiveness, and brings people together.
GLIDE believes in breaking down the barriers between all diverse
communities and is more determined than ever to press onward with hope and
love.\n\n	“We know what unconditional love and acceptance can do,” said
GLIDE Co-Founder and Minister of Liberation Reverend Cecil Williams.
“We've seen love in action for 50 years, and we're not stopping
now.”\n\n	“More than ever, there is moral urgency and
transformative power in celebrating each other and bridging our
differences with compassion and understanding,” said GLIDE Co-Founder
Janice Mirikitani. “Love always wins.”\n\n\n	Each year, the GLIDE
Annual Holiday Jam raises funds for GLIDE’s services, including the Daily
Free Meals program “Mo’s Kitchen,” which serves 750,000 free meals
annually to San Francisco’s most in-need individuals and families.
