DESCRIPTION:Come celebrate Women's Equality Day in San Leandro with us on the lovely 
 historic Casa Peralta grounds!  \n\nAugust 26th is Women's Equality Day, 
 which commemorates the 1920 certification of the 19th Amendment to the 
 Constitution, granting women the right to vote.\n\nCommunity Impact LAB is 
 delighted to partner with the San Leandro History Museum to provide this 
 celebratory event to pay homage to Women’s Equality Day, to women who 
 historically have impacted our lives, and to highlight women who presently 
 stand out and make a difference in our neighborhood, city and 
 country.\n\nDesigned for the whole family to come enjoy and learn a little 
 something about the Suffrage Movement in California and the stories of 
 trailblazing women in our present and past.\n\nPlenty to do and see with 
 short film screenings, speakers and the opening of a new exhibit at the San 
 Leandro History Museum. There will be children art and craft tables as well 
 as a designated storytime for kids and for adults who are kids at heart.\n
