DESCRIPTION:Screening of documentary "Truth: Exposing Israeli Apartheid" by local 
 film-maker Wendy Campbell who will be in attendance. This film seeks to 
 reveal what the mainstream media tries to conceal: that Israel is a 
 "racist, anti-democratic, apartheid regime" as in the words spoken by a 
 courageous Israeli Refusenik soldier. This carefully crafted collage of 
 footage and stills taken by brave activists in Palestinian Territories 
 shows with shocking impact the harsh, apartheid conditions forced upon the 
 Palestinians by the Israeli government, all the more disturbing knowing 
 that US tax dollars support this brutal occupation. Historical perspective 
 is provided in the narrative,and a surprising, but compelling, solution is 
 offered for true peace and justice in the area. Footage of the growing 
 pro-Palestinian peace movement in the Bay Area is also included. The film 
 has been edited from its original length of 1 hour 47 minutes, down to 57 
 minutes.\nThe screening will be preceeded by a talk by long-time activist 
 Dave Kersting on the topic of "What is Zionism?"\nSuggested donation is $20
