 the power of embodiment & sexuality, stripping taboos off disability to 
 offer a vision of beauty that includes all bodies and communities.\n\nThe 
 2016 SINS INVALID performance \n“Birthing, Dying, Becoming Crip 
 Wisdom.”  \nThirteen artists bring evocative explorations of creation, 
 aging, and mortality, a journey through genesis, transformative power and 
 earth.  \n\nThis performance features cast from 9 years ago as well as 
 emerging artists, prompted by a year long dialogue including questions such 
 as: \n\nWhat were your first understandings that your body was disabled? 
 \nHow did your emerging understanding of yourself affect your gender 
 identity? \nHow does disabled embodiment open us to the possibility of a 
 deeper engagement with the universal phenomena of transitions in 
 embodiment?  \n\nThe resulting work is plunges us into visions of life and 
 death, the disabled body/mind and liberation.\n\n
