DESCRIPTION:“A Day in Solidarity with African People,” on Thursday, October 13th at 
 6:30 pm at Akwaaba Hall, Uhuru House, 7911 MacArthur Blvd, Oakland will 
 address the role of white people in ending the rampant police violence 
 targeting black people in the United States.\n \nPart of a nationwide 
 campaign sponsored by the Uhuru Solidarity Movement, the event will build 
 national support for the black-led Uhuru Movement’s quest for justice for 
 the murder of three African teenaged women by Florida sheriff’s deputies 
 this year.\n \nKunde Mwamvita, mother of Dominique Battle, one of the three 
 murdered teenagers and a courageous fighter for the black community, will 
 travel from Florida to speak at the event.\n \nChairman Omali Yeshitela of 
 the African People’s Socialist Party, leader and founder of the Uhuru 
 Movement, will deliver the keynote address.\n \nPenny Hess, Chair of the 
 African People’s Solidarity Committee, the organization of white people 
 working under the Uhuru Movement’s leadership to build “white 
 solidarity with Black Power” will speak to the audiences on the role and 
 responsibility of white people in the black freedom struggle.\n \nThe event 
 will feature culture, light refreshments, and a question-and-answer
