 raise money for Beach Flats Community Garden … an organic urban garden 
 that nourishes the neighborhood with healthy food and cultivates and 
 preserves culture.\n\nWhat will the donations be used for? Money raised at 
 the Pie for the People event will be used to directly support the 2016 
 growing season including new tools, irrigation hoses, seeds/plants, and 
 construction materials as necessary to help gardeners maximize the space in 
 the newly reduced garden. (The Seaside Company has reclaimed use of 40% of 
 the land.)\n\nPlease bring:\n\n* The whole family!\n\n* A sweet or savory 
 pie* (quiches, tarts, crisps & crumbles are great!) OR a $5+ donation per 
 person\n\n* Your own plate/fork/spoon/napkin/mug\n\n* A cash donation for 
 Beach Flats Community Garden\n\n** Please make all pies vegetarian. Bring 
 your pie in a disposable/recyclable tin if you can.\n\nPARKING NOTE: There 
 is plenty of parking around the community center, but be sure to bring 
 quarters for the meters! (Or better yet, ride your bike or
