 it.\n\nTake a break from watching the Superbowl during half time in San 
 Francisco's Marina (or skip the game altogether!). \n\nToss a football 
 around in the sunshine and fresh air!  And in doing so, "walk the walk" of 
 SF values:   peace, love, compassion, creativity and fun vs. the money, 
 power, violence and injuries caused by tackle football!\n\nBring your own 
 football or join with others who've brought theirs.\n\nThis event asks the 
 question:  Is the Superbowl consistent with San Francisco 
 values?\n\nProfessional football today appears to celebrate not so much the 
 core game of throwing, catching, running and kicking a football, as it does 
 money, power and violence that damages the brains of its players.  And that 
 is the template for all levels of football in this country.\n\nThe San 
 Francisco I know and love embraces peace, love, compassion, creativity and 
 fun.  While the football extravaganza is in town, I hope that San Francisco 
 values rub off on it.  Imagine football evolving into a sport over time 
 that does not permanently damage the brains of its players.  Imagine the 
 ripple effect of a non-violent form of football on American society and 
 values.\n\nSo on Super Sunday, get out into the sunshine predicted for that 
 day and throw around a football with friends, family, neighbors and others. 
  And hope for the evolution football into a more humane game.\n\n\n\n
