DESCRIPTION:Beach Flats Garden is a space for community, food security, and the passing 
 of cultural and agricultural knowledges. However, the Seaside Company, 
 which owns high-value real estate around Santa Cruz like the Boardwalk and 
 the Warriors Stadium, is evicting the gardeners from 40% of the half-acre 
 garden for “landscaping purposes”. It is crucial for this space to 
 remain open and active for the Beach Flats Community.\n\nThe city claims to 
 be in negotiation with the Seaside Company, but eviction is set for 
 February 1st. We need your student support to put pressure on the city in 
 regards to the fate of the garden. Please come to our community event this 
 Friday the 29th of January at the Nueva Vista Community Center next to 
 Beach Flats Garden from 3 to 5 pm for more information, to meet the 
 gardeners and the community. We will be having student performances, 
 dancing and free food.\n
