 MEDUSA, SKIP THE NEEDLE, and a speech by the co-founder of Black Lives 
 Matter, ALICIA GARZA.\n\nPerformance also includes local drummers AFIA 
 WALKING TREE AND FRIENDS, participatory flashmob dance, and more.\n\nThis 
 is the fourth year that the Bay Area has joined thousands of cities all 
 over the world for V-Day's One Billion Rising, the largest global action to 
 end violence against women and girls in history.\n\n"In some of the worst

 activists, artists, advocates, spiritual leaders, revolutionaries, 
 dreamers...from the unimaginable horror comes crazy, radical, inspiring,

 violence against women and girls. This year, our annual V-Day celebration 
 is focused on the resiliency of girls of color. Join us as we create a safe 
 space for everyone to heal and celebrate. A percentage of the event's 
 proceeds support the local Black Lives Matter chapter and other service
