 CA\n\nAbout the readers/performers:\n\nAndrew Sean Greer's latest book is 
 The Impossible Lives of Greta Wells. He's also the bestselling author of 
 The Story of a Marriage, which The New York Times has called an "inspired, 
 lyrical novel," and The Confessions of Max Tivoli, which was named a best 
 book of 2004 by the San Francisco Chronicle and the Chicago Tribune while 
 garnering many other coast-to-coast honors. His ﬁrst novel, The Path of 
 Minor Planets, and his story collection, How It Was for Me, were also 
 published to wide acclaim. His stories have appeared in Esquire, The Paris 
 Review, The New Yorker, and other national publications, and have been 
 anthologized most recently in The Book of Other People and Best American 
 Nonrequired Reading. He is the recipient of the Northern California Book 
 Award, the California Book Award, the New York Public Library Young Lions 
 Award, and fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and the New 
 York Public Library. Greer lives in San Francisco.\n\nAli Eteraz is the 
 author of the short fiction collection Falsipedes and Fibsiennes. His 
 stories have appeared in storySouth, Chicago Quarterly Review, Akashic 
 Books, Crossborder, and Forge Journal, among others. Eteraz is the author 
 of the critically acclaimed darkly comic memoir CHILDREN OF DUST: A 
 Portrait of a Muslim as a Young Man (HarperCollins, 2009). It was selected 
 as a New Statesman Book of the Year and was featured on PBS with Tavis 
 Smiley, NPR with Terry Gross, C-SPAN2, and numerous international outlets. 
 The book was called “compelling” by the Washington Post, and O: The 
 Oprah Magazine, chose it for its Fall Reading List.\n\nLydia Popovich is a 
 SF-based comedian. Her anecdotal humor and vivid storytelling make her a 
 unique voice in a sea of dick jokes. She produces and hosts an all female 
 stand-up showcase in the Bay Area called Ladies Love that takes place the 
 second Tuesday of each month at The Layover in Oakland. She's a paid 
 regular at Rooster T. Feathers, San Jose Improv, Punch Line SF, Punch Line 
 Sacramento and Cobb's Comedy Club. She placed second in the 2014 She Devil 
 Comedy Competition and has been featured in SF Sketchfest 2013, 2014 and 
 2015. As well as the Women In Comedy Festival 2013 and Cape Fear Comedy 
 Festival 2014. She recently performed 4 minutes of stand-up on Creepy KOFY 
 Movie Time and taught Derek Waters how to take a Jell-O shot on Comedy 
 Central's Drunk History.\n\nMegan Prelinger is a cultural historian and the 
 author of two books: Inside the Machine: Art and Invention in the 
 Electronic Age (WWNorton, 2015) and Another Science Fiction: Advertising 
 the Space Race (Blast Books, 2010). As an artist in residence at the 
 Exploratorium from 2009 to 2013, she is co-author, with Rick Prelinger, of 
 five graphic atlases of Bay Area landscape history that are installed as a 
 permanent exhibit in the museum. She is co-founder, also with Rick, of the 
 Prelinger Library in San Francisco, an independent research library open to 
 the public, and is the architect of its unique information design system. 
 She also is a naturalist and leads birding walks with San Francisco Nature 
 Education.\n\nAbout Writers With Drinks:\n\nWriters With Drinks has won 
 numerous "Best ofs" from local newspapers, and has been mentioned in 7x7, 
 Spin Magazine and one of Armistead Maupin's Tales of the City novels. The 
 spoken word "variety show" mixes genres to raise money for local causes. 
 The award-winning show includes poetry, stand-up comedy, science fiction, 
 fantasy, romance, mystery, literary fiction, erotica, memoir, zines and 
 blogs in a freewheeling format.\n
