DESCRIPTION:12/10 SF STOP Hanging Nooses At SF Recology Defend IBT 350 SF Recology
Worker Daryle Washington From Retaliation For Whistleblowing\nSTOP Hanging
Nooses At SF Recology\nDefend IBT 350 SF Recology Worker Daryle Washington
 From Retaliation For Whistleblowing\nDecember 10 (Thursday), 2015 5:00
PM\nAt: SF Recology Corporate Headquarters\n50 California St. near
Embarcadero BART station, San Francisco\n\n\nNoose put up at Oakland SEIU
1021 workplace\n\nDecember 10, 2015 will be the two year anniversary of
the incident of the hanging noose incident at SF Recology where a worker
put a hanging noose on the conveyor belt to intimidate and terrorize
African American workers. When IBT 350 Teamster and SF Recology employee
Daryle Washington protested this to managemeent he was retaliated against
by the company and punished. This is not just about SF Recology but all
racist workplace incidents throughout the country.\n\nThe company has
refused to apologize and also has covered this incident up while harassing
and retaliating against Washington. Additionally even though IBT
International Vice President Rome\nAloise who is also the head of Teamster
Joint Coun- cil 7 has been informed of this incident and asked for support
for Daryle, he has been completely si- lent. Teamsters Local 350 officials,
Teamster Joint Council 7 Political Director Dan Bloch and Antonio Christian
who is the Director of IBT Human Rights Commission and also with the
Teamster National Black Caucus TNBC executive director have all remained
MIA about this racist attack on IBT members at this site in Northern
California and continued retaliation. They need to stand up to these kinds
of racist attacks and retaliation against IBT members who stand up for
justice and human rights. The May Day action against police terrorism led
by ILWU Local 10 is the kind of action the Teamsters need to
do.\nAdditionally, San Francisco City offi- cials including the mayor and
SF Board of Supervisors have refused to call hear- ings or even question SF
Recology about the violation of the city contract that SF Recology has that
excludes racist incidents of contractors with the City and County of San
Francisco.\nAdditionally, San Francisco City officials including the mayor
and SF Board of Supervisors have refused to call hear- ings or even
question SF Recology about the violation of the city contract that SF
Recology has that excludes racist incidents of contractors with the City
and County of San Francisco.\nAll labor, trade unions and working people
need to stand up and demand an end to these racist attacks and attempted
bullying of Darrell to remain silent. \nENOUGH IS ENOUGH.\n\nAN INJURY TO
ONE IS AN INJURY TO ALL!\n\nEndorsed by: United Public Workers For Action
