 Francisco\n\nThe SF and East Bay branches of AIPAC are inviting local city 
 officials to attend a gala celebrating Israel at a time when Israeli 
 violence and aggression against the Palestinian people continues to 
 escalate.\n\nAIPAC has been central in lobbying for annual increases of 
 billions of dollars of US military and governmental aid to Israel. 
 Virtually every major human rights organization has documented that Israel 
 commits grave human rights violations against the Palestinian people, 
 including ethnic cleansing, collective punishment and war crimes. 
 Israel’s occupation and building of settlements on Palestinian land are 
 recognized as illegal by every country in the world except Israel. If San 
 Francisco officials attend the AIPAC gala, it sends a message that our city 
 is not only complicit with Israel’s crimes, but celebrates them as 
 well.\n\nLet us build on San Francisco’s tradition of solidarity with 
 global movements for justice and stand on the right side of history by 
 saying NO to AIPAC.\n\nAs San Francisco Bay Area residents, we call on the 
 SF Board of Supervisors and the Mayor not to participate in the upcoming 
 American Israeli Public Affairs Council (AIPAC) gala being held in San
