DESCRIPTION:Co-sponsored by Amoeba Music, The Howard Zinn Book Fair (check listing for
Sunday, Nov. 15) proudly presents a showcase of Firebrand Records artists:
The Last Internationale, Son of Nun, Built For the Sea and Ryan Harvey.
These dynamic acts will be joined by the Bay Area’s premier political
Hip-Hop band, Mass Bass. MC’d by poet Ananda Esteva. Expect performances
by surprise guests.\n\nWe are living in an era of significant protest. In
recent years, people around the world have surprised each other with their
courage, strength, and willingness to stand against injustice, militarism,
and corruption. And where there has been protest, there has been
music.\n\nBorn from these times, Firebrand gives a platform for such
voices. The joint-venture between Ryan Harvey (Riot-Folk Collective) and
Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine/The Nightwatchman) aims to release
music that inspires, informs, and blossoms from these moments.\n\nWe know
that music alone does not change the world, but we recognize that it is an
integral part of the movements that do.\n\nTickets $9.00/$6.00 for Fair
Authors and Exhibitors.\nAdvance purchase highly recommended at Brown Paper
 Tickets.\n\n\n https://www.indybay.org/newsitems/2015/10/31/18779507.php
