DESCRIPTION:Direct Action vs. Climate Change: Flood the System Bay Area, a night of 
 scheming and dreaming  \n\nDirect action is everywhere. Almost a year ago, 
 hundreds of thousands marched through New York in the largest climate march 
 in history. Almost a year ago, thousands flooded Wall Street in a mass 
 civil disobedience against the economic system driving the climate crisis. 
 \n\nSince then, thousands have stormed into the streets declaring that 
 Black Lives Matter. Since then, thousands have walked off their fast food 
 jobs demanding a fair wage. Since then, kayaktivists have flooded into the 
 waterways of Seattle and Portland to stop Shell's Arctic drilling.  \n\nWe 
 see that when we act boldly, with courage and with our hearts, the world 
 notices.  \n\nThis fall, activists from across North America will 
 coordinate a wave of actions against the root causes of climate chaos: 
 colonialism, capitalism, patriarchy. In more than a dozen cities, community 
 groups from across movement spaces are gathering to vision what the flood

 this look like in the Bay Area?  \n\nDiablo Rising Tide and friends invite 
 you to join us for a night of story-telling, plotting and scheming. 
 \n\nWe’ll show you a presentation put together by artist-activists with 
 Flood the System and have a discussion of what flooding the system could 
 look like in the Bay Area.  Bring your friends, get ready to take action.
