 month, a delegation of journalists and activists from the Party for 
 Socialism and Liberation including PSL presidential candidate Gloria La 
 Riva traveled to the Central Valley to investigate California’s deepening 
 drought crisis.\n\nThe Central Valley is impacted most by drought 
 conditions, yet is also one of the largest agricultural hubs in the United 
 States, responsible for producing more than half of the country’s fruits, 
 vegetables and nuts. Fueled by climate change and irresponsible drilling 
 and distribution of available water, California’s years-long drought has 
 left thousands without access to water in their own homes. This is most 
 severely impacting immigrants workers whose labor Calif. agriculture 
 depends on.\n\nThe California water crisis is being made much worse by the 
 capitalist system itself, which puts profits first and people’s needs and 
 the environment last. It is a disaster which reveals the urgent need for 
 socialism, where a planned system of agriculture and water infrastructure 
 could provide for the people’s right to safe, sustainable food and clean

 mes, una delegación de periodistas y activistas del Partido para 
 Socialismo y Liberación incluyendo candidato presidencial de PSL, Gloria 
 La Riva, viajó al Valle Central para investigar profundización de la 
 crisis de sequía en California.\n\nEl Valle Central se ve afectado más 
 por las condiciones de la sequía , sin embargo, es también uno de los 
 más grandes centros agrícolas en los Estados Unidos, responsable de la 
 producción de más de la mitad de las frutas, verduras,  frutos  y nueces 
 del país. Impulsado por el cambio climático y la perforación 
 irresponsable y distribución de agua disponible, los largos  años de 
 sequía  en California han dejado a  miles de personas sin acceso al agua 
 en sus propios hogares. Esto está afectando más gravemente a inmigrantes 
 trabajadores cuyo  trabajo depende de la agricultura de California.\n\nLa 
 crisis del agua de California está cada vez  empeorando debido al  propio 
 sistema capitalista, que pone las ganancias  en primer plano  y las 
 necesidades de las personas y el medio ambiente después. Se trata de un 
 desastre que evidencia la necesidad urgente por el socialismo, un sistema 
 donde la  planificación de la agricultura y la infraestructura del  agua
