DESCRIPTION:On the day Pres. Obama is giving the eulogy at Emmanual A.M.E. Church to
the victims of the massacre in Charleston, We say:\nNO MORE – WHICH SIDE
ARE YOU ON?\n\nNO MORE! To racist violence targeting Black people, whether
the perpetrators are white supremacists out of uniform, or cops in uniform.
The white supremacist who murdered 6 Black women and 3 Black men because,
had the nerve to say “... you are raping our women and taking over our
country.” This in a country where countless numbers of enslaved Black
women were subjected to rape by slave owners and other white men associated
with the plantations and in a country founded on stealing the land from the
inhabitants. This magnitude of the horror perpetrated demands a powerful
response.\nWhile there has been a lot of response to this foul massacre,
there's something missing in that response – something that taps into and
gives expression to the rage that many people righteously feel over this
atrocity. There is too much talk that what's needed now is coming together
and healing. How can there be healing if the deep wounds inflicted by white
supremacy aren't exposed for what they are? Should we come together with
those who unleash and/or preside over attacks on Black people on every
front and hold hands while these attacks continue?\nThe time for
reconciliation and healing is after the disease has been diagnosed and
rooted out not while it’s still raging. The disease is white supremacy,
and it’s been raging in America since the first Africans were dragged to
these shores in slave chains. It continues to rage today with police being
 given a green light to brutalize and murder African-Americans and Latinos;
and with racists feeling emboldened to massacre Black people.\n\nTHIS MUST
