DESCRIPTION:Hey, Hey, LBJ…,” by journalist-actor David Kleinberg, traces his year
as a combat correspondent for the Army’s 25th Infantry Division at Cu
Chi, Vietnam. Kleinberg skeptically supports the war at first, but his
doubts crystallize as his tour of duty draws on, culminating in an event
that sears his life personally and changes his views altogether. \n\nThis
powerful, poignant drama about the most divisive foreign war in America’s
history raises important questions about US conflicts then and since. The
performance will be followed by a question and answer session with the
artist and freewheeling public discussion. \n\nDavid Kleinberg initially
served as a reporter in the field in Vietnam and later edited the division
newspaper. He was awarded the bronze star for his service. In civilian
life, after a successful career as correspondent for the San Francisco
Chronicle, he turned to stand-up comedy and solo theater. As a comedian, he
has worked with the late Robin Williams, Dana Carvey, Sinbad and Richard
 Lewis. \n\n https://www.indybay.org/newsitems/2015/05/13/18772281.php
