DESCRIPTION:Surviving Human Trafficking in Nepal \nNepal's National Conference of
Female Trafficking Survivors \nSunday, March 1, 2-4 PM \nSF Main Library,
Latino Room, Lower Level \n100 Larkin St. (at Grove)\n\nA report-back by
Arla S. Ertz on Nepal’s National Conference of Female Trafficking
Survivors and their solidarity work with women around the world.\n\nWomen
of Shakti Samuha, a Nepali organization founded and run by trafficking
survivors, work daily to abolish human trafficking and to sustain other
survivors. Recently back from training conducted by these women, and from
attending Nepal’s 3rd Annual Conference of Female Trafficking Survivors
at their request, Arla brings us a presentation about their work building
solidarity within Nepal and with women around the world.\n\nArla S. Ertz, a
San Francisco social worker, long-time activist, and WILPF member, was
invited by Harambee Arts to travel to Nepal as part of an international
expressive arts therapy team, to be trained by Nepali women trafficking
survivors in the expressive arts therapy program they went through to heal
their trauma and now use with recently liberated survivors. Arla worked
for 10 years for an expressive arts program for homeless children in the
 San Francisco Bay Area.\n\n\n\n
