DESCRIPTION:On Saturday, September 27, during the weekend after the New York Climate 
 Convergence for People, Planet and Peace over Profit and the People's 
 Climate March, PASMC will dovetail those events with a free showing of the 
 new documentary film, "The Wisdom to Survive".\n\nSubtitled "Climate 
 Change, Capitalism and Community", this 56-minute film explores the threat 
 of climate change and the realities of the world environment, as well as 
 the hope and possibility for people around the world to bring about 
 change.\n\n"The Wisdom to Survive" accepts the consensus of scientists that 
 climate change has already arrived, and asks: what is keeping us from 
 action? The film explores how unlimited growth and greed are destroying the 
 life support system of the planet, the social fabric of society, and the 
 lives of billions of people.\n\nThe film features thought leaders and 
 activists in the realms of science, economics and spirituality discussing 
 how we can evolve and take action in the face of climate disruption. They 
 urge us to open ourselves to the beauty that surrounds us and get to work 
 on ensuring it thrives. We hear from the likes of Bill McKibben, Joanna 
 Macy, Nikki Cooley, Roger Payne, Richard Heinberg, Amy Seidl, Stephanie 
 Kaza, Gus Speth, Jihan Gearan, and Ben Falk.\n\nCome to the Unitarian 
 Universalists of San Mateo, 300 E. Santa Inez Avenue (at Ellsworth), at 7 
 PM. We will begin the screening shortly after that, and have open comments
